The City of Florence has announced the opening of registration for the Safe Sitter Essentials Course, a program aimed at youth in grades 6-8. This course is designed to enhance babysitting skills, safety awareness, and confidence among participants.
Sessions are scheduled for April 8, August 7, and October 20 in 2025. The classes will be held at Kalb Gathering House located at 7200 Nature Park Drive from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The cost of participation is $40, which includes a Safe Sitter kit.
To register for the course, interested parties can email gianna.pretelini@florence-ky.gov or call 859-647-5441. It is advised to register at least one week before the desired session date.
The program aims to prepare teens for success in babysitting while promoting responsibility and leadership skills. It should be noted that CPR training is not part of this course.
