Donna Jean Imhoff, 92, Remembered for Love, Work Ethic, and Sense of Fun

Donna Jean Imhoff, 92, of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 24, 1932, Donna was best known for her role as a devoted mother and protector of her children and grandchildren. She was esteemed for her strong work ethic, which she showcased throughout her life, including her recent retirement from Wal-Mart in 2020.

Donna had a vivacious and fun-loving spirit. She enjoyed listening to and dancing to country music, had a talent for lifting others' spirits through humor, and cherished moments spent at the casino slots. Her ability to make people smile was a cherished gift that endeared her to many.

Donna is preceded in death by her grandfather, George "Pappy" Hampton, her mother, Opal (Roscoe) Barnhill, and her grandson, Nick Imhoff.

She is survived by her 11 children – Mike (Emily) Keyes, Linda (Rick) Hillebrand, Diane Imhoff, Robbie Imhoff, Ralph (Cathy) Imhoff, Arlene Sydnor, David (Patty) Imhoff, Raymond Imhoff (Cindy Baker), Debbie (Ty) Young, Karen Tomlin (Wendell Osborne), and Doug (Tina) Imhoff.

Affectionately known as "Ninnie," Donna is also survived by 31 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Donna's Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 5:00 to 9:00 pm at the Independence Senior Center in Independence, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory to the DCCH Center are welcomed to support abused and neglected children.
