Covington hosts diverse events: quilling class, food tour, music shows

COVINGTON, Ky. – This weekend in Covington offers a variety of activities for those interested in arts, history, food, and music. Residents and visitors can engage in creative pursuits, learn about local history, enjoy live performances, or simply relax.

One of the highlights is the Valentine's Day Quilling Class at Purple Paisley, Local Artisan Shop. Quilling involves rolling and gluing strips of paper to create intricate designs. The class invites both men and women to participate in this art form.

For those who enjoy combining history with culinary experiences, the MainStrasse Village Food Tour provides an opportunity to explore Covington's German heritage while sampling local dishes such as chicken and waffles and German pretzels.

Artmarkit offers a Date Night event where couples can create DIY coupon books and candles for $30 per couple. This provides a creative outlet for partners looking to spend quality time together.

Textile enthusiasts can attend Sunday's Stitch & B*tch at Thrive Empowerment Center. Participants are encouraged to bring their projects and join others in a community setting. The event is free but accepts donations to support empowerment programs.

Gypsy’s SOUP-er Bowl Party & Competition on Sunday promises a culinary battle featuring various chili styles and soups competing for the top spot. Attendees will have the chance to sample entries and vote for their favorites.
