Covington offers art, history tours, live music this weekend

COVINGTON, Ky. – This weekend in Covington offers a variety of events ranging from artistic endeavors to historical explorations and live performances.

For those interested in creativity and animals, the Purrfect Day Cat Café hosts "Collaging and Kitten Cuddles with Annie." Participants can engage in collage-making surrounded by playful kittens, with materials provided for all attendees.

The Carnegie, in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, presents the opening of "Witch" on Friday. The production explores themes of temptation and resilience through a story about a devil bargaining for souls in an English town.

On Saturday, history enthusiasts can join the African American Walking Tour to learn about the Ohio River's role in African American history from the 1800s onward. The tour starts at the John Augustus Roebling Statue and concludes at Smale Park.

Creative House of Art & Design invites participants to its Pink Pony Club guided painting event on Saturday. Inspired by Chappell Roan’s music, attendees will enjoy a painting session while listening to her hits.

Behringer-Crawford Museum kicks off its Holly Jolly Days on Saturday, featuring new attractions like animated displays and vintage Christmas décor.

Live music is abundant throughout the weekend with performances at various venues including Madison Theater, Molly Malone’s Irish Pub & Restaurant, Smoke Justis, Juniper’s, and The Village Theater.

Additional activities include a Cigar & Wine Experience at Crafts & Vines tonight, karaoke sessions at Paddy’s on Main and Frosthaus over the weekend, as well as various community events such as farmers markets and cultural tours.
