City honors its veterans serving at City Hall

Covington, Ky. – Covington is home to several memorial sites, statues, and plaques that pay tribute to the military veterans who have served in various branches during both peace and war. The city's tradition of military service remains strong among its residents.

Throughout history, the people of Covington have demonstrated remarkable courage in challenging situations. These include enduring difficult conditions such as a frigid mountainside or humid jungle, walking through minefields, or dealing with the stress of endless training and physical tests.

Veterans Day falls on Monday, and City Hall will be closed. Today is an opportunity to honor all veterans in Covington, particularly those employed by the city.

In Administration, Harold Conley served in the Army. In Finance, Jerome Heist also served in the Army.

The Fire Department has several veterans: Matt Archer (Navy), Aaron Bolyard (Army), Nick Boots (Navy), Joe Bowman (Army), Andrew Burk (Army), Ben Erdman (Marine Corps), Terry Galliher (Army), Chris Greer (Army), Jacob Hughes (Air Force), Sara McPherson Jenkins (Air Force), Brandon Kersting (Air Force), Jonathan Krull (Army), Kaleb Miller (Navy), Mark Ober (Army), Jordan Warner (Marine Corps), Ben Wasson (Army), Cornell White (Marine Corps) and Zack Williams (Air Force). Stan Wylie also served in the Army.

In Neighborhood Services, Walt Mace is an Army veteran.

The Police Department includes Charlie Beil from the Navy; Joshua Bornhorn from the Army; Nicollette Brown from Marine Corps; Robert Christen from the Army; Jeff Cook from Marine Corps; David Coots from Air Force; Daniel Elsbernd from Marine Corps; David Finan from Navy; Michael Gilliland from Army; William Gonzalez from Army; David Griswold from Marine Corps; Christopher Haubner from Army; Phouthakone Homphothichak from Army; Kenzy Hotaling from Army; David Hoyle from Marine Corps; Matt Hugenberg from Air Force; Kevin Igo from Army; Marcus Jordan from Army; Joshua Knott from Army; John Mairose also served in the Army. Cody Monson served in the Army too. Bradley Morris is an Air Force veteran while John Murphy was with Marine Corps. Jacob Noe was with the army along with Brian Powers and Joseph Richer who were part of Airforce respectively . Robert Rose had dual roles between army/marine corps meanwhile Jackson Sora stayed loyal only towards army . Zachary Stayton continued same path being soldier for them but Johnathon Stribling joined airforce instead where Jeffrey Tolliver chose ground forces yet again like many others including Kyle Warner & Steven Willis

Public Works comprises Scott Hahn who belongs to marine corp along side Rick Smith having allegiance toward army branch
