This weekend in Covington, Kentucky, several events are set to offer a diverse range of activities for locals and visitors alike. Among these is the Women’s Fest hosted by soHza sister Boutique at its newly expanded location on 124 W. Pike St. The event, running from Thursday through Sunday, aims to empower women with presentations such as “Healing Her Soul” and “Hypnotherapy for Anxiety & Depression.”

soHza sister was established in 2013 by three sisters who believed in the power of women to drive change. Their social enterprise has contributed over $40,000 to local non-profits while engaging in fair trade practices globally.

Holiday shoppers can also get a head start this Saturday with two local businesses opening their doors for seasonal shopping. The Roost Latonia offers unique gifts and vintage treasures, while Purple Paisley hosts the November Prelude-Pre Holiday Bazaar featuring locally made art and jewelry.

For those interested in art and culture, The Carnegie will host a Curator Tour led by Sso-Rha Kang as part of the FotoFocus Biennial: backstories. This tour delves into themes surrounding Southern Democratic, an exhibit exploring William Eggleston's photography documenting Plains, Georgia during the 1976 presidential election.

Sunday brings the third annual Art Equals Woolly Fest at Hellmann Creative Center. The festival supports local creators involved in fiber arts such as knitting and weaving.
