Joanne devoted her life to caring for others as a Home Health Nurse with American Nursing before retiring to focus on her role as a dedicated homemaker. She found solace and happiness in various activities like listening to music, singing, playing board games, and taking peaceful walks by the river. A lover of basset hounds and Elvis, Joanne held a strong faith, regularly attending church services or watching them on TV. However, her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her family and showering love on her grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Hamm, Clarence Hamm, Howard Hamm, and Roy Hamm, and her sister Betty Smith, Joanne is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, Greg Heger; daughter Leesa (Drew) Stanfill; grandchildren Bethany Grigson and Natalee Grigson; and great-granddaughter Noryan Grigson.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 P.M. at Serenity Funeral Care, 40 West 6th Street, Covington, KY 41011. Interment will follow at Mother of God Cemetery.
