The upcoming weekend in Covington, Kentucky promises a variety of activities for residents and visitors alike. From learning the art of making chai to celebrating International Women's Day and Mario Day, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Starting off the weekend is "Let’s Make Chai Night" at The Roost Latonia, where attendees can immerse themselves in the art of chai preparation. As the event organizers point out, "chai" already means "tea" in Hindi, making the term "chai tea" redundant. Participants can expect to learn, sip, and savor different varieties of chai while also taking home their own container of the flavorful beverage.

On Friday, the Kenton County Public Library will host a Movie Double Feature in honor of International Women's Day. The selected films, "On the Basis of Sex" and "Hidden Figures," highlight the achievements and struggles of remarkable women throughout history.

For those interested in getting crafty, Purple Paisely, Local Artisan Shop will be offering a Charm Bracelet Design Class on Saturday. Participants can design their own charm bracelet, selecting meaningful charms and crystals to adorn their personalized piece.

Sunday marks Mario Day, celebrating the iconic video game character Mario. The Kenton County Public Library will host a Life-Size Mario Party where attendees can step into the world of Mario, playing mini games and earning coins for prizes.

In addition to these events, there will be opportunities for silent reading with rescue kitties at Purrfect Day Cat Café, live music performances at various venues, yoga sessions, salsa lessons, and more throughout the weekend in Covington.

As the weekend approaches, residents are encouraged to take advantage of the diverse activities available and immerse themselves in the cultural, educational, and entertaining events happening in the community.
