Erlanger, Kentucky – William L. “Bill” Slaven, age 69, of Erlanger, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2026. Born in Chicago, Illinois on March 23, 1957, Bill was the beloved son of Thomas L. and Carol B. Slaven (née Wong), both of whom preceded him in death.
Bill is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 48 years, Cynthia A. Slaven (née Ellis); his children Jennifer L. (David) Zepeda, William G. (Alysia) Slaven, and Robert L. (Karla) Slaven; as well as his cherished grandchildren Anthony M. Zepeda, Brendon L. Zepeda, Jaiden M. Zepeda, Jaylinn M. Slaven, Landen T. Slaven, Piper L. Zepeda, Kailee E. Slaven, Keely M. Slaven, Saige H. Slaven, Jace C. Slaven, and Isaiah Zepeda; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Thomas L. Slaven, Jr. and Rodney L. Slaven, along with many other dear family members and friends.
Bill found joy in sharing his faith at Erlanger United Methodist Church and earlier at Cynthiana Curry and Benson United Methodist Churches. A skilled and dedicated handyman, he took pride in his various projects, yet above all, treasured the time spent with his family and cherished grandchildren.
Services to honor Bill’s life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to share memories or offer condolences are invited to visit the guest book.
Bill’s family and friends will fondly remember him for his kindness, faith, dedication, and the warmth he brought to their lives.
