William “Bill” Howard Bentley, aged 61, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Born on November 6, 1963, in Covington, KY, Bill was the beloved son of Erealyn and the late Benjamin “Buddy” Bentley.
A lifelong Kentuckian, Bill was celebrated for his profound love of family, quick wit, and generous nature. He dedicated 33 years to the Covington Turner Society, establishing enduring friendships and creating countless cherished memories.
Bill found his greatest joy in the presence of his grandchildren, enthusiastically supporting them at sporting events and treasured family gatherings. With diverse interests, Bill found solace in early morning fishing trips, rounds of golf with friends, and attending local turkey shoots and dirt track car races with his loved ones. A passionate sports enthusiast, he relished spirited debates, especially about his favorite teams.
While Bill embraced numerous roles in his lifetime, being “Paw Paw” held a special place in his heart. He valued every moment with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories with them.
Bill is survived by his loving mother, Erealyn Bentley; son, Brad (Krista) Bentley; daughter, Shana Bentley; brother, Robert “Bobby” (Crissy) Bentley; sister, Angela (Jack) Jones; and grandchildren: Jordan Froelicher, Dylan Mahon, Braxton Bentley, Ella Bentley, Wyatt Hite, and Waylon Hite. He is also survived by nephews Cole Bentley, Drew (Sevana) Wiesner, and Eric Wiesner; nieces Grace Bentley and Faith Bentley; great-nephew Easton Wiesner, and a large extended family of cousins whom he considered close as siblings.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 12:00 P.M. (Noon) until the Memorial Service at 2:00 P.M. at the Highland Cemetery Chapel, Fort Mitchell, KY. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
Bill will be remembered for his immense heart, love of laughter, and unwavering dedication to family. His absence will be deeply felt, his memory cherished forever.
