COVINGTON, Ky. – This weekend marks the confluence of several events: Friday the 13th, National Bourbon Day, and Father’s Day. Celebrations include a variety of activities such as live music, art workshops, and food events.

On Saturday, The Carnegie hosts the Gallery Practice Session (Part 1) with IFCM. Participants can join poets elese daniel and J/Jenn/Jennifer Howd along with musician Allen Otte in practicing and creating during gallery hours. “Otte is a cofounder of America’s first professional percussion ensemble,” noted for his global performances in new and experimental music.

At the Covington Farmers Market on Saturday, WAVE on Wheels offers educational opportunities about water conservation while shopping. The WAVE Foundation aims to inspire environmental stewardship through its programs.

Art enthusiasts can attend the Wearable Art: Acrylic Pour Pendant Class at Purple Paisley on Saturday to create personalized jewelry by combining glass cabochons with acrylic pour art.

Saturday also celebrates National Bourbon Day at OKBB, featuring bourbon legends like Elijah Craig and Cincinnati’s George Remus.

Father’s Day on Sunday presents options such as Dads, Drafts & Drives at Braxton Brewing Co., and The Father’s Day Feast at Smoke Justis.

Live music is available throughout the weekend at various venues including Behringer-Crawford Museum, Smoke Justis, Juniper’s, Madison Live, and more. Additional activities include Music Bingo at Braxton Brewing Co., Wine Tasting at Crafts & Vines, Karaoke Night at Wunderbar, Trivia Night at Covington Yard among others.

The schedule also features community events like Covington Farmers Market on Saturday morning and trivia sessions on Sunday evening.
