Virginia E. Byrd, 83, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born on July 22, 1941, in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Edwin P. and Elizabeth Christine Lawson (nee Morris).
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Victor Byrd; son Bryan Wayne (Karin) Byrd; daughter Rhonda Gayle (John Begley) Huntley; grandchildren Nathan Ryan (Rachel) Byrd, Megan Elizabeth Castle, Abigail Claire (Alexander) Byrd-Stapleton, Justin Adam Huntley, and Kylee Grace Byrd; and great-grandchildren Kamden Reese Corbin, Lexie Jo Byrd, Reagan Marie Byrd, and August River Stapleton. Virginia is also survived by her sister, Barbara Jane (Tom) McDowell, and numerous other family members and friends.
Known affectionately as Ginny, she enjoyed crafting with her grandchildren, sewing, fishing, singing, hosting family gatherings, swimming, and especially cherished vacations with her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Christian Appalachian Project.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 7:00 PM, with visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – Northern Kentucky Chapel in Erlanger, Kentucky.
