Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, shared his views on various issues through a series of tweets. Massie, who replaced Geoff Davis in Congress and holds a degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has consistently voiced his opinions on national policies and international affairs.

On June 14, 2025, Massie commented on immigration policy under former President Donald Trump. He questioned the implications of Trump’s enforcement policy by stating “Under Trump’s new immigration enforcement policy, if you’re an illegal alien, I guess you just have to switch jobs to a restaurant, hotel, farm, or meat packing plant?”

Later that day, he expressed his stance on military engagement by asserting that “This is not our war. We should not engage our military here. Furthermore, doing so would require a vote of Congress.” His tweet reflects his position against unauthorized military actions without congressional approval.

On June 16, 2025, Massie addressed the reliability of AI platforms in another tweet directed at Grok. He questioned the platform’s accuracy by asking “Hey @grok, why can’t you check your own answers for lies and hallucinations? You’d be so much more reliable if you didn’t introduce false information that’s so easily proven to be wrong.”

Massie’s background includes serving in the Kentucky House of Representatives before his tenure in Congress. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison at age 52, Massie’s educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science from MIT obtained in 1993.
