Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, has called for greater transparency regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case through a series of posts on July 16, 2025. In his statements, Massie expressed support for legislation aimed at releasing files related to Epstein and acknowledged fellow lawmakers who have cosponsored the initiative.
On July 16, 2025, Massie wrote: “Americans deserve transparency and the victims of Epstein (and his associates) deserve justice.
Thank you @RepEricBurlison for cosponsoring this legislation to release the Epstein files.”
Later that day, he reiterated his message while thanking another colleague: “Americans deserve transparency and the victims of Epstein (and his associates) deserve justice.
Thank you @Congressman_JVD for cosponsoring this legislation to release the Epstein files.”
In a subsequent post on July 16, Massie added: “Americans deserve transparency and the victims of Epstein (and his associates) deserve justice.
Thank you @RepBoebert for cosponsoring this legislation to release the Epstein files.”
The push for releasing documents related to Jeffrey Epstein follows ongoing public interest in accountability and information surrounding high-profile criminal cases. Calls for transparency have persisted since Epstein’s arrest and subsequent death in custody.
Massie has represented Kentucky’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Geoff Davis in 2012. Before joining Congress, he served in the Kentucky House of Representatives as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971, Massie is currently based in Garrison. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993.
