Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, recently posted several updates on his social media account regarding upcoming congressional activities and legislative positions.

On September 15, 2025, Massie informed his followers that “FBI Director Kash Patel will testify in our Judiciary Committee this Wednesday. If you were me, what questions would you ask him? If you want to send the question in a direct message (assuming I follow you), please do.”

Later that day, Massie commented on proposed government spending measures: “.@SpeakerJohnson wants to pass a Continuing Resolution (CR) until the holidays. This CR would be a copy of the uniparty spending bill under Autopen Biden. I didn’t vote for those spending priorities when Biden was President and I won’t vote for them now.” He also shared an additional post stating simply: ” https://t.co/KsfXVfUR9x”.

Massie’s comments come as Congress prepares for testimony from FBI Director Kash Patel and debates over federal budget resolutions. His reference to “Autopen Biden” alludes to previous criticisms about President Joe Biden’s use of autopen signature devices for legislation approvals.

Since entering Congress in 2012 after replacing Geoff Davis, Massie has maintained a reputation for questioning federal spending and supporting transparency initiatives. Prior to his time in Congress, he served in the Kentucky House of Representatives and as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971, Massie currently resides in Garrison and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), earned in 1993.
