Thomas Massie, U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, posted a series of updates on his social media accounts on September 10 and 11, 2025, covering topics from personal innovation to legislative efforts and national events.
On September 10, Massie shared details about a project on his farm in Kentucky: “While I’m in a Judiciary Committee hearing today, my self propelled chicken tractor is on my farm in Kentucky raising broiler chickens on pasture. It uses super-capacitors, not batteries, to store solar power, so I call my invention the ‘Clucks Capacitor.'” (September 10, 2025).
Later that day, he addressed recent news involving Charlie Kirk: “My heart is broken for Charlie Kirk and my prayers are with his friends and family. Our country was founded on principles of free speech and open political discourse. Nothing justifies violence against any voice on the left or right of today’s debates.” (September 10, 2025).
On September 11, Massie updated followers regarding legislative activity related to the Epstein files: “We have 217 of the 218 signatures required. We just need one more Congressman to sign the discharge petition in order to force a vote in the House on a bill to release the Epstein files. Victims deserve justice and Americans demand transparency.” (September 11, 2025).
Massie has served as a member of Congress for Kentucky’s 4th District since succeeding Geoff Davis in 2012. He previously held positions in state government including service in the Kentucky House of Representatives and as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison, Massie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
