U.S. Representative Thomas Massie, who has represented Kentucky’s 4th district in Congress since 2012, recently used his social media platform to discuss efforts related to the release of documents associated with Jeffrey Epstein.
On August 7, 2025, Massie posted: “I’m leading the fight in the House to release the Epstein files. Is this why a billionaire who appears in Epstein’s black book and regularly donates to @SpeakerJohnson and NRCC is paying for ads against me? His superPAC is deceptively named MAGA Kentucky.”
Continuing his campaign, Massie addressed public skepticism about the existence of these documents on August 8, 2025. He wrote: “The Epstein files are not a hoax. The Speaker adjourned Congress early to avoid the topic, but we will not forget. When the House returns from August recess, I can begin collecting the 218 signatures required to force a vote on binding legislation to release the files.”
Later that same day, Massie commented on procedural actions taken by congressional leadership: “It happened again. The House and Senate convened briefly today in empty chambers to block @realDonaldTrump from making recess appointments.”
Massie has served as U.S. Representative for Kentucky’s 4th District since replacing Geoff Davis in 2012 and previously held positions in local government and state legislature. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971, he currently resides in Garrison and holds a degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
