Thomas Massie, U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, has detailed a series of community engagement events with Senator Rand Paul across Northern Kentucky in recent days through his official social media accounts.
On September 24, Massie reported on a local meeting: “Today, @SenRandPaul and I held a Mason County roundtable discussion over lunch at the Parc Café in Maysville. The food was terrific! We discussed the importance of river transportation to the local community and my work on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.”
The following day, Massie shared an update from another event: “Yesterday, @SenRandPaul and I hosted a Robertson County community forum in Mount Olivet. It was great to see State Rep. @realTJRoberts in attendance. Robertson County is a small county, but you wouldn’t know it by the big turnout for this event.” This post was made on September 25.
Later that same day, Massie described participating in a breakfast policy discussion with Senator Paul and regional builders: “Today, @SenRandPaul and I joined @buildersnky in Erlanger for breakfast and a policy discussion. We covered many issues including housing shortages, housing costs, tariffs, and rising inflation. It was also great to see apprentices from the Enzweiler Building Institute.”
These public appearances highlight Massie’s continued involvement with local constituents as part of his congressional responsibilities. Thomas Massie succeeded Geoff Davis as representative for Kentucky’s 4th District after being elected to Congress in 2012; he previously served both as Lewis County Judge Executive and as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison, Massie holds an undergraduate degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), awarded in 1993.
