Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, posted several updates on his social media account between August 26 and August 27, 2025. The posts included legislative activity, civic engagement efforts, and additional online content.

On August 26, Massie acknowledged support for his bill from another member of Congress: “Thank you to @RepGosar for cosponsoring my bill, HR 2356, the ‘Dual Loyalty Disclosure Act.’ Candidates for federal office should be required to disclose to voters whether they have citizenship in other countries.” This message highlighted bipartisan backing for proposed legislation that would require federal candidates to reveal any foreign citizenships.

Later that day, Massie shared the results of a civics test with his followers: “92% of 72,638 respondents passed this basic civics test. Can you? https://t.co/tnMS4KaX35”. The post encouraged public participation in a civic knowledge quiz.

In a subsequent post on August 27, Massie linked to additional content without further comment: “https://t.co/AOoqyEsMay https://t.co/S9LqcnV4CC”.

Massie has represented Kentucky’s 4th District in Congress since succeeding Geoff Davis in 2012. Prior to his congressional service, he held roles in the Kentucky House of Representatives and served as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison, Massie is also an alumnus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993.
