Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, posted several updates on his social media account between September 30 and October 1, 2025. His posts addressed political appointments, the federal budget process, and upcoming media appearances.

On September 30, Massie expressed strong support for a Trump administration official, stating: “.@SecKennedy is the best hire @realDonaldTrump ever made and there’s no close second.”

Later that day, he commented on recent developments in Congress regarding the federal budget. He wrote: “Both parties are ridiculous! Republicans passed a line-by-line continuation of Biden’s last budget, including Doge-identified waste. BUT Democrats refused to vote for Biden’s last budget, thereby shutting down the government. I voted Nay when it was for Biden and I’m Nay now.” This post highlighted his consistent opposition to both versions of the proposed budget.

On October 1, Massie announced an upcoming radio appearance: “I’ll be @TomRoten’s guest on WIRO 106.7 FM The Eagle at 8:35 AM. Tune in! Listen live at https://t.co/SdlFFh5Ard.”

Massie has served as a member of Congress from Kentucky’s 4th District since replacing Geoff Davis in 2012. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Kentucky House of Representatives and as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison, Massie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), earned in 1993.
