U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie, who represents Kentucky’s 4th district, recently posted a series of tweets addressing both legal developments related to the Jeffrey Epstein case and his personal stance on flu vaccinations.

On December 5, 2025, Massie wrote: “U.S. District Judge Rodney Smith orders release of sealed grand jury transcripts relating to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell pursuant to Epstein Files Transparency Act (PL 119-38) and Savage Services Corp. v. United States.” The tweet refers to a court order mandating the disclosure of previously confidential grand jury records connected to the high-profile cases involving Epstein and Maxwell.

The following day, December 6, Massie shifted focus by asking his followers: “Have you ever taken the flu shot? I’ll put my answer in the comments later today.” Later that same day, he responded with: “I’ve never taken the flu shot.”

Massie has served in Congress since 2012 after replacing Geoff Davis. He previously held positions in the Kentucky House of Representatives and as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971, Massie is currently 52 years old and resides in Garrison. He graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993.

The release of grand jury transcripts marks another chapter in ongoing efforts for transparency surrounding the Epstein case. Meanwhile, Massie’s public disclosure about his vaccination history adds to ongoing debates regarding public health measures among elected officials.
