Thomas Massie, a U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, posted a series of comments on April 15, 2026, addressing recent developments in the House of Representatives.

In his first post at 12:02 p.m. UTC, Massie wrote, “Don’t forget what they did to us. I stood alone in the House of Representatives against this.”

Later that morning at 12:38 p.m. UTC, he commented on events at the Capitol, stating, “As I walked past the Capitol this morning, I couldn’t help but notice the ironic presence of a garbage truck as two members resign in disgrace and shame.”

Three minutes after his previous post, Massie added another remark: “I think we’re gonna need a bigger truck.”

Thomas Massie has represented Kentucky’s 4th District in Congress since succeeding Geoff Davis in 2012. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives and served as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison, Massie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), earned in 1993.
