U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie, who represents Kentucky’s 4th district, recently posted a series of statements on his official X (formerly Twitter) account addressing legislative efforts and personal challenges.
On August 20, 2025, Massie published a post that read: “*was _allowed_ to flee* https://t.co/eCQGETRqEr https://t.co/yUsYt0qYiK”.
The following day, Massie expressed gratitude to a colleague for supporting his legislative initiative. On August 21, 2025, he wrote: “Thank you to @RepScottPerry for cosponsoring my bill, HR 2356, the ‘Dual Loyalty Disclosure Act.’ Candidates for federal office should be required to disclose to voters whether they have citizenship in other countries.”
Later that same day, Massie commented on perceived opposition to his political activities. He stated: “The system’s relentless efforts to destroy me are already beginning to backfire. https://t.co/WKJV5AjgmU”
Massie has served in the U.S. Congress since 2012 after succeeding Geoff Davis and previously held positions in the Kentucky House of Representatives and as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison, Massie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology earned in 1993.
