Thomas Massie, U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, has recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing food security, government transparency, and gun rights.

On December 2, 2025, Massie highlighted concerns about the concentration of power in the meat processing industry: “If we’re not paying attention to the architecture of our food system, we’re failing Americans and jeopardizing food security. Four corporations control 85% of the meat processed in the U.S. Two are owned by China and Brazil. The PRIME Act will fix this!”

Later that day, he expressed gratitude for new legislation regarding transparency: “Thank you @realDonaldTrump for signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act.”

On December 3, 2025, Massie discussed his efforts to expand gun rights nationwide: “I introduced the National Constitutional Carry Act because no one should have to beg the government to exercise a constitutionally protected right anywhere in the country. Twenty-nine states already acknowledge this reality; let’s make it fifty.”

Massie has represented Kentucky’s 4th District in Congress since succeeding Geoff Davis in 2012. He previously served as Lewis County Judge Executive and was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison, Massie holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
