Thomas Massie, U.S. Congressman representing Kentucky’s 4th district since 2012, addressed his recent election loss and related topics in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).

On May 22, Massie stated, “There’s a quiet all out war for the future of our country. Let us not misdirect our precious resources.

I do not believe I lost due to fraudulent votes, mail-in ballots, hacking, or mistabulated results. I respect those who want to make sure, but I won’t be requesting a recount.”

Later that day, he posted about the timing of his defeat: “I lost my election on the six month anniversary of the Epstein Files Transparency Act becoming law.

Those buggers don’t waste any time. https://t.co/t6FlvIvmu7” This message referenced legislation passed half a year prior to his loss.

On May 24, Massie announced an upcoming media appearance: “I’ll be live on @MeetThePress at 9:02 AM ET. Tune in! https://t.co/XjCJDWTQUU”

Massie has represented Kentucky’s 4th District in Congress since succeeding Geoff Davis in 2012 and previously served in the Kentucky House of Representatives as well as Lewis County Judge Executive. Born in Huntington, West Virginia in 1971 and currently residing in Garrison at age 52, Massie graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1993.
