Thelma Ellen Stone, age 62, of Covington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Hospice of St. Elizabeth in Edgewood with her family by her side. Thelma, born on July 13, 1962, in Fairfield, Ohio, was the daughter of the late John E. Benge and Rhoda McNeil Benge. She dedicated her career to the Internal Revenue Service until her retirement.
Thelma is survived by her husband of 39 years, Timothy Stone; daughter, Felicia Benge; grandson, Austin Benge; brother, Jim Benge; and sister, Linda Lancaster. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews, a great niece, numerous great nephews, and a great-great nephew. Thelma was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Benge, and her twin sister, Velma Ann Benge.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A, with Mike Sweeney officiating. Prior to the service, visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, with burial following the funeral at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.
