Della Mae Kavanaugh, 88, of Florence, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025. She was born on January 8, 1937, in Breathitt County, Kentucky, to Roscoe Coomer, Sr. and Maudie Blanton. Della was preceded in death by her husbands, Donald Ray Kelley and James Kavanaugh, as well as her brothers Roscoe Coomer, Jr. and Hiram Blanton, Jr., and stepfather Hiram Blanton Sr.

She is survived by her son Ronnie Kelley and daughter-in-law Martha Kelley, along with grandsons Jordan Kelley (Dana) and Matthew Julian. Della is also survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Coomer, niece Darlene Coomer, nephew David Coomer (Kathy), and great-nieces and nephews Hannah, Nick, Ian, and Amy Coomer.

Della's career was spent in the County Clerk's Office, and she had a passion for music, crafting, and communicating on her CB radio as "Moon doggie." Known for her warmth, creativity, and love, Della's life touched all who knew her.

Visitation and the Funeral Service will be held on April 4, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home in Florence, Kentucky, with entombment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, Kentucky. Condolences can be shared online at www.stithfuneralhome.com.
