The City of Florence has announced a Thanksgiving Food Drive, which will run from November 1 to November 15. The drive aims to support the Collins Elementary Resource Center by collecting essential food items for local families during the holiday season.

The city encourages donations of various non-perishable food items, including peanut butter, canned fruit, fruit cups, applesauce cups or pouches, canned tuna and chicken, dried beans, rice, tomato sauce, fruit bars, and granola bars.

Donations can be dropped off at a collection bin located in the lobby of the Florence Government Center at 8100 Ewing Blvd. Community members are encouraged to bring their contributions to this accessible location.

For further information or inquiries about the food drive, individuals can contact the Administration Department at 859-647-8177. The city emphasizes the importance of community participation to make Thanksgiving brighter for families in need.
