Florence announces Independence Day celebration with food trucks and fireworks

The City of Florence has announced plans to celebrate Independence Day at the Florence Government Center, located at 8100 Ewing Blvd., on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. The event will commence at 6:00 p.m. and aims to honor the nation’s independence.

The celebration will feature various food trucks, including Dreamy Whip, Kona Ice, Travelin’ Tom’s, The Art of Fusion, Wild Side Experience, Bailey Jayne’s, and Buffalo’s Best. Additionally, there will be a dedicated kids' activity area and live music throughout the event.

The evening's entertainment will start with a performance by the Florence Community Band at 6:00 p.m., followed by headlining act “East of Austin” at 7:00 p.m. A fireworks display by Elite Pyrotechnics is scheduled for 10:00 p.m.

The City of Florence invites residents and those from surrounding areas to join in the festivities. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and enjoy an evening of entertainment.

Support from community sponsors includes Heritage Bank as the title sponsor, along with M&P Logistics, Florence Mall, Mubea, Viox & Viox Civil Engineers, and Mitchell Insurance Agency.

In case of rain, the fireworks display will be rescheduled for Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 10:00 p.m.
