4.2% of Kenton County residents considered unemployed in 2021

Kenton County recorded an unemployment rate of 4.2% among residents aged 16 and 65 years old in 2021. That’s 3,818 people out of the 168,264 living in Kenton County at the time, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The unemployment rate in Kenton County has increased compared to the 3.9% registered in 2020.

The percentage of people unemployed in Kenton County was less than the statewide unemployment rate of 5.3%.

Of the 87,873 people who had a job during that time, 43 were employed in the Armed Forces and 87,830 belonged to the civilian labor force.
