Norse Put on Clinic in 20-Point Win Over UC

The Northern Kentucky women's basketball program remained hot capping off nonconference play with dominating 20-point victory over cross-river rival Cincinnati Wednesday evening by a final score of 72-52.

FINAL SCORE: Northern Kentucky – 72, Cincinnati – 52

LOCATION: Truist Arena – Highland Heights, KY

•    Kailee Davis: 15 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds

•    Ivy Turner: 15 points, 5 assists, 5 rebounds

•    Lindsey Duvall: 11 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals

•    Emmy Souder: 14 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal

•    Kennedy Igo: 9 points, 3-5 3PT

•    Khamari Mitchell-Steen: 8 points, 1 assist

 

•    Both Duvall and Turner each eclipsed the 1,000 career point mark in a Norse uniform this evening. 

•    Duvall's double-double today of 11 points and 12 rebounds was her seventh of the season and her fifth straight as well. 

•    NKU looked unstoppable in the opening half, holding the Bearcats to just 14 total points, six in the first quarter and then eight in the second. 

•    Northern Kentucky picked up their fourth consecutive victory, and improve to 6-2 overall this season when playing inside Truist Arena.

•    NKU now holds the advantage in the all-time series with Cincinnati, leading 11-10 overall.
