Northern Kentucky Athletics inches another step closer to the Fall championship season as the Norse will have five programs hitting their respective field or court of play over the next week, highlighted by back-to-back home volleyball matches on Friday and Saturday and men's soccer Senior Day on Saturday to go with road women's soccer, women's golf and women's tennis action.

Norse volleyball remains at home this week as NKU will host both Cleveland State and Oakland inside Regents Hall. Northern Kentucky first takes on CSU on Friday, Oct. 21 with a 6 PM ET start, and this match will be Ulta-Liz Spa Day and Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night. The Norse then see Oakland visit Highland Heights on Saturday, Oct. 22 and first serve from that Horizon League contest is set for 4 PM. The match will also feature a celebration for Youth Night.
NKU continued to stay hot for the past two weeks, picking up multiple conference victories at home after defeating Robert Morris and Youngstown State. Junior setter Katy Yopko eclipsed the 1,000-career assist mark during the weekend as she continues to add accolades to her Norse career.
MEN'S SOCCER

Northern Kentucky will host the Panthers of Milwaukee this Saturday, Oct. 22 with kickoff scheduled for 1 PM ET from Scudamore Field. Prior to this final regular-season home match for the Norse, a Senior Day celebration will be held to honor the 11 student-athletes participating during the ceremony.
The Norse are coming off their biggest win of the season as NKU previously defeated Horizon League leading Cleveland State last Saturday by a final score of 2-1. In this matchup the Norse fought back against the Vikings, ultimately seeing Sam Robinson netting the game winner with just seconds remaining in the contest to secure the victory.
WOMEN'S SOCCER

After celebrating its Senior Day this past Sunday, the Northern Kentucky women's soccer program heads north for another Horizon League showdown against Green Bay, set for Saturday, Oct. 22 at noon. It is the second-last game of the regular-season for the Norse.
The women's soccer program and Northern Kentucky Athletics department would like to once again thank Taylor Abbott, Annie Greene, Macy Harper, Jamie Lehker, Megan Sullivan, Shelby Wall and Kayla Wypasek for their contributions as Norse, both on the pitch, in the classroom and in the community.

Northern Kentucky will conclude the 2022 Fall season from just north in Dayton, Ohio at the Flyer Invitational. The Norse will compete with several local program at the NCR Country Club which includes Dayton, Cleveland State, Indianapolis, Butler, Valparaiso, Purdue Fort Wayne, Thomas More, Chicago State and Cincinnati. NKU will also see a full squad compete at this tournament with eight total competitors in action for the Norse.

NKU looks to wrap up the 2022 fall season on the road at the ITA Ohio Valley Regionals from Knoxville, Tenn. The Norse will compete against regional universities in both singles and doubles action from the Goodfriend Tennis Center and will begin on Wednesday, Oct. 19.
