89 percent of applicants to Northern Kentucky University were admitted for fall 2018

At Northern Kentucky University, 82 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Highland Heights enrolled 14,764 students in fall 2018, including 11,914 in undergraduate and 2,850 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

72 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kentucky, and 27 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (82 percent) and Black or African American (6 percent).

The school admitted 89 percent of the 5,995 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 37 percent enrolled.
