Steven “Steve” Peck, 75, peacefully passed away on July 8, 2025. Born on December 20, 1949, to the late James and LaVerne Peck, Steve’s life journey was characterized by his dedicated service in the United States Navy, pursuit of education, and a successful career in art and design.

After his military service, Steve pursued his passion for art, obtaining a master’s degree in graphic design from the University of Cincinnati. He established himself professionally in California, working as a store planner for Dillard’s and as a florist at Swan. His keen eye for design and appreciation for artistry influenced his work and how he viewed the world around him.

Steve found solace in nature, often spending time outdoors, observing and feeding birds. His love for animals extended to his cherished companions, his dogs, Abraham and Jackson, who provided him with unwavering companionship and joy.

He is survived by his sister, Jamie Stith, nephews Derek Stith and Darin Peck, great-nephews Alex, Adam, and Austin, and many other cherished family members. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gregory Peck, and his beloved canine companions.

The family plans to hold a private memorial service in Steve’s honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed to local animal shelters as a tribute to Steve’s memory.
