Villa Hills, Kentucky – Sharon Lynne Wagner, aged 74, of Villa Hills, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Ft. Thomas after bravely battling cancer.

Born on January 31, 1951, to the late James Earl and Doloris Betty Kemper (née Moning), Sharon pursued her passion for learning by obtaining a bachelor’s degree in biology from Thomas More University. Filled with a love for cooking, travel, crafting, and fashion, Sharon brought creativity and joy to every aspect of her life.

Known for her famous Christmas fruitcakes and comfort food recipes, she found happiness in the kitchen collecting cookbooks and exploring new flavors. Sharon expressed her creativity through sewing and cross-stitch, crafting pieces filled with care and dedication. Her eye for style extended to fashion and jewelry, always seeking great finds on shopping trips.

A lover of travel, she enjoyed trips to Daytona Beach, historic destinations like Williamsburg, and scenic road trips to lighthouses and Niagara Falls. Sharon also had a deep appreciation for Barry Manilow and his music.

In her professional life, Sharon worked at McAlpin’s Department Store and dedicated herself to the Diocese of Covington, where she served with pride and commitment in the chancery.

Sharon is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Steve Wagner, and her daughter, Stephanie Wagner. She will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones.

Visitation will take place on September 2, 2025, at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Sharon will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell.

In memory of Sharon’s life, donations can be made to The Diocese of Covington, the SPCA, or the American Cancer Society.
