Erlanger, KY – Richard L. “Dick” Baumer, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away in Erlanger, Kentucky, on June 28, 2025, at the age of 88. He was born on July 21, 1936, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dick, a U.S. Marine veteran, served during the Korean War and later had a successful career as a salesman for Dyke Industries. He found spiritual fulfillment at Beaverlick Christian Church.

Remembered for his engaging personality and sense of humor, Dick had a deep devotion to his family. He is survived by his children: Tom (Jean) Baumer, Patty (Rod) Pierce, and Jamie (Kelly) Baumer; his sister, Harriette LaFollette; nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Linda Lou (Ford) Baumer, parents, brothers, and sister. Dick enjoyed golfing, gardening, birdwatching, woodworking, and cooking, sharing his hobbies with loved ones. Visitation will be held on July 2, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home in Hebron, Kentucky. The funeral service will be on July 3, 2025, at 11:00 am at the same location.

Dick’s legacy of family devotion, warmth, and laughter will be treasured by all who knew him. Contributions in his memory can be made to the American Lung Association.
