Ralph Wayne McKenzie, known affectionately as Wayne, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2025, at The Village at Erlanger at the age of 74. Born on May 8, 1951, in Covington, Kentucky, Wayne dedicated a significant portion of his life to serving the community as a proud police officer for the Kenton County Police.
Additionally, Wayne was a distinguished Navy veteran, having served his country with great honor. His service in law enforcement and the military exemplified his unwavering dedication and strong sense of duty. His commitment to public service has left a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.
In his personal life, Wayne is survived by his loving daughters, Sarah Culp (Robert) and Erin Koshover (William). He is also fondly remembered by his sister, Vickie Anderson, as well as his long-time companion, Megan Michael. Wayne took great pride in his role as a grandfather, and he will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Noah and Ryder Koshover.
Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph McKenzie and Mary Eileen Hensley McKenzie, and brother-in-law Tom Anderson.
Family, friends, and all those impacted by Wayne’s life are welcome to join in celebrating his life. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 6:00 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home – Chapel A in Taylor Mill, Kentucky.
Ralph Wayne McKenzie will be remembered for his bravery, dedication to service, and his deep love for family, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
