The Northern Kentucky Norse women’s triathlon team completed its spring season at the University of Indianapolis Aquathlon, according to an April 17 announcement. The event featured a 400-yard swim and a 5-kilometer run, with teams from Chicago State University, North Central College, Northern Kentucky University (NKU), and the host school participating.
This competition marked the only event for NKU during their spring campaign. Charlotte Cunningham led the Norse with a third-place finish overall, while Maggie Wilson placed sixth. There were no team scores recorded for this event.
Cunningham achieved her podium finish with an overall time of 27:05. She completed the swim in 5 minutes and 13 seconds, had a transition time of 25 seconds, and finished the run in 21 minutes and 27 seconds. Wilson finished her race in an overall time of 32:25, swimming in 6 minutes and 25 seconds, completing her transition in 37 seconds, and running the final leg in 25 minutes and 23 seconds.
The team now looks ahead to building roster growth as it prepares for its third year as a triathlon program.
