Northern Kentucky University Norse women’s golf team finished in third place at the 2026 Horizon League Championships, according to an April 27 announcement. The tournament took place over three days, with the Norse posting consistent team scores of 315, 316, and 315 for a total of 946—just one stroke behind second place.
The event highlighted strong performances from several players. Eva Maley led all competitors after round one with a score of one under par, becoming the only individual to record a single round under par during the championships. She completed her first round with four birdies and no scores above par over her final eleven holes. Cammy Reed also performed well throughout the tournament and ultimately finished alone in third place among individuals, just one stroke away from tying for first.
In round two, Maley entered with a three-stroke lead but ended tied for first after posting a four-over-par score of 77. Reed matched this score in the second round as well. On the final day, Kenna Jenkinson posted Northern Kentucky’s best individual score with a three-over-par 76 and secured a top-three finish for that round.
The team’s overall performance marked its second-best finish ever at the Horizon League Championships and its best since finishing second in 2017. Their total team score was also their second-lowest at this event since recording a score of 935 in that same year. The Norse excelled on par-five holes and recorded fewer bogeys than any other team.
Looking ahead, Northern Kentucky continues to build on its recent successes as it competes in NCAA Division I women’s college golf.
