Northern Kentucky University Norse men’s basketball announced on May 15 the signing of Lithuanian guard Gabrielius Jokubauskas.
The addition of Jokubauskas brings new talent to the team’s perimeter. Head coach Darrin Horn said, “We focused on size, ball skills, and versatility on the perimeter, and Gabriellus definitely fits that. He has excellent positional size and skill level. His shooting, athleticism, and experience should help him make an immediate impact.”
Jokubauskas played for Rytas Vilnius’ second team in Lithuania’s National Basketball League over the past three seasons. In the 2025-26 season, he averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.1 steals per game across 34 appearances. He recorded double-digit points in sixteen games and scored twenty or more points in three games during that span.
The player shot 45.1% from the field last season while making 31.6% of his three-point attempts on an average of 3.4 tries per game and converting at a rate of 69% from the free throw line. In the previous season with Rytas Vilnius’ second team (2024-25), he averaged similar numbers with slightly higher rebounds at 4.5 per game over forty contests.
Over his three years with Rytas Vilnius’ second team, Jokubauskas totaled 722 points, grabbed 327 rebounds, and contributed with154 assists overall for his club.
In his final game on March 14 last season, he achieved personal bests by scoring twenty-seven points and collecting nine rebounds while hitting five out of eleven shots from beyond the arc.
