Nancy Carolyn Rectenwald, 89, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 16, 2025. Born in Charleston, WV, she dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse while raising her four sons. Known for her spirit of adventure and joie de vivre, Nancy found joy in life’s simple moments like gardening, reading, birdwatching, and exploring various parts of the world.
Preceded in death by her parents, son James Rectenwald, and sisters Patricia Horn and Bonnie Harper, Nancy is survived by her sons John, Joseph (Lisa), and Paul (Cindy), daughter-in-law Kelli Care, grandchildren, nephews, and friends.
