The City of Florence has announced the cancellation of the Movies in the Park event featuring “Inside Out 2,” which was scheduled for Friday, June 13 at Florence Nature Park. The decision was made due to expected bad weather conditions. A city spokesperson stated, “The safety and comfort of our attendees is always our top priority, and we appreciate the community’s understanding.”
Residents are encouraged to attend the next scheduled Movies in the Park event on Friday, June 20 at the Skees Senior Center. The address for this venue is 7431 US 42, Florence. The featured film will be “Top Gun: Maverick,” shown outdoors. Attendees should arrive by 8:30 p.m., with the movie starting at dusk.
Admission to this event is free, and complimentary popcorn will be available. Food trucks such as Poseidon’s Pizza and Dreamys Ice Cream will offer food and beverages for purchase.
