Covington, KY – Mary “Ruth” Eggemeyer, aged 96, of Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. Born on August 4, 1928, Ruth was the beloved daughter of Francis D. and Mary Elizabeth Eggemeyer.

Ruth is remembered fondly by her sister, Vera Jean Heskamp, and brother James D. Eggemeyer, as well as numerous relatives and friends who will cherish her memory. Ruth found immense joy in family and had a special affinity for caring for children. She embraced adventure, enjoying thrilling activities such as skydiving and hot air ballooning well into her 80s.

A lover of games, Ruth excelled at playing Rummikub and indulged in the grace of dance through ballroom and line dancing. Her vibrant spirit and love for life touched everyone she met.

A graveside service to honor Ruth will take place on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, with a visitation beforehand at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions – Northern Kentucky Chapel. Burial will follow at Mother of God Cemetery. Ruth’s family welcomes all to share memories and messages in her guest book.
