Covington, KY – Mary Marlene Burkhart, aged 71, passed away on July 21, 2025, after battling Lewy Body Dementia. Born on July 24, 1953, to Frederick and Lenora Hill of Covington, Kentucky, she spent her life dedicated to service and love for her family.
Marlene, a beloved wife of Thomas Burkhart for nearly 50 years, was respected for her professional achievements as a dedicated dental hygienist and real estate professional. Her fluency in French and American Sign Language showcased her passion for learning and communication. Marlene’s love for music, travel, and constant support for her children and grandchildren are a testament to her vibrant spirit.
Despite the challenges of dementia, Marlene’s positivity and energy continued to shine while under care, earning her admiration from those she encountered. She is survived by her husband, her siblings, children, and grandchildren, leaving a legacy of love, strength, and perseverance.
A funeral mass in honor of Marlene’s life will be held at Mother of God Roman Catholic Church in Covington, Kentucky, with a reception to follow. In memory of Marlene, donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Association are welcomed.
