Margret W. Walter, 90, of Edgewood, KY, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025. Born in Hilkenbrook, Germany, Margret was the cherished daughter of Nikolaus and Christina Helmer, and the late Karl Walter. She was a beloved sister and aunt to many family members in Germany and the United States, known for her unwavering loyalty, spirited personality, and boundless generosity.

Margret moved to the U.S. in the 1960s, where she met her husband Karl and worked with a Cincinnati family she cherished. She was enthusiastic, selfless, and had a vibrant presence that resonated with everyone around her. Margret embraced her German heritage, was an active member of the Kolping Society and Old St. Mary’s Church, and enjoyed traveling, dining out, and being a loyal fan of sports teams.

Visitation will be held on June 8, 2025, at Linnemann Funeral Home, followed by a Catholic blessing. She will be laid to rest next to her parents in Hilkenbrook, Germany. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Best Day Ever Foundation and/or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of Sophia Kappen.
