Fort Myers, FL – Linda Wilson Campbell, 80, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly from Covington, KY, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, in Fort Myers, FL. She is survived by her son, Timothy Menkhaus, of Cincinnati, OH, her daughter, Courtney “CJ” Campbell of Fort Myers, FL, and grandson, Louis Menkhaus, and preceded in death by her eldest son John Menkhaus Jr.

In addition to her children and grandson, Linda is remembered by her sister Patricia Petzinger (Steve), niece Eliza Petzinger, and nephew Wesley Petzinger (Jessica), along with 4 grand nieces and 1 grand nephew.

Having decided to become a nurse during her mother’s cancer treatment, Linda finished her education and became a Registered Nurse. She worked in various hospitals in Cincinnati before transitioning to a career as a Nurse Specialist.

Upon moving to Florida, Linda became involved in the Lee County Democratic Party while continuing her patient care work. Her dedication to patient well-being and her community was unwavering.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd, from 2-4 PM at 13901 Cross Creek Blvd, Ft. Myers, Florida, 33912. A local Celebration of Life Service is also planned for Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 2-6 PM at Floral Hills Funeral Home, Chapel A.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cincinnati School of Nursing or the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance.
