James Edward Ward, 71, of Florence, KY, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2025. With a career spanning over 50 years in the horse racing industry, predominantly at Turfway Park, James was known for his care for the horses and passion for the sport. A loyal Louisville Cardinals fan, he eagerly awaited basketball season each year. Survived by his wife of 40 years, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, James took immense pride and joy in his family. Per the family’s request, services will be private.
