Covington, KY – Harriet Marie Deck, age 71, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 27, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Covington on May 14, 1954, she was the treasured daughter of the late Doc Abdon and Anna Mae Botkin.
Harriet’s life was characterized by a profound love for her family, unwavering faith, and a warm spirit. She found happiness in simple pleasures such as listening to country music, reading her Bible and Bible Pathways, and spending quality time with loved ones. Her kindness and strength touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her husband, Allen Deck, sons Neil Stephens, Travis Stephens Sr., and Allen David Deck, and great-granddaughter Alaylah King, Harriet’s legacy lives on through those she leaves behind.
Survived by her daughters Tracy Souder and Patricia Gray, brothers Jimmy Hudson, Charlie Trapp, Don Abdon, Lee Trapp, sisters Millie Goodfriend, Debbie Akin, Bev Gibson, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Harriet will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering faith, and boundless love.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, from 11:00 A.M. until the Funeral Service at 12:00 P.M. (Noon) at Serenity Funeral Care in Covington.
