The Florence Police Department has launched its 8th Annual No-Shave-November Benefit to support the Cancer Center at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. As part of this fundraising effort, officers are permitted to grow beards during November in exchange for a minimum donation of $25 each.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the hospital’s cancer center. The department is also encouraging members of the public to contribute by donating through an online platform. Last year, the initiative raised $2,095, and this year’s goal is set at $2,500.

In a statement from the department: “They are inviting the public to participate and join them in donating to this benefit through the link below. 100% of the donations from this benefit will go toward Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s Cancer Center. Last year, with everyone’s generous donations, they were able to donate a grand total of $2,095!! This year they have set a goal of raising $2,500 for Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.”
