The City of Florence will hold its annual Veterans Day Program on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Florence Government Center located at 8100 Ewing Boulevard. The event is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. and aims to recognize those who have served or are currently serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The program will take place in the Community Rooms on the lower level of the government center. Activities will include an opening ceremony with a presentation of colors and patriotic music performed by both the Florence Community Band and Florence Community Chorus. Gary Adkins, who serves as Volunteer State President for AARP Kentucky, will deliver the keynote address.

A special moment during the event will be dedicated to honoring all veterans present. Following this recognition, the Elsmere VFW Honor Guard will conduct a three-volley salute outdoors, accompanied by a performance of “Taps” from the Florence Community Band. After the formal program concludes, refreshments will be available in the lobby.

The city encourages community members to attend as a way to show appreciation for veterans’ service and dedication. For further information about the event, individuals can contact the Administration Department at 859-647-8177.
